Had a great day attending a marketing seminar organised by Tourism Council Western Australia, at Caves House Hotel in Yallingup.

Marketing Consultant Meg Coffey from Perth agency Coffey and Tea REALLY knew her stuff. She talked about Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, hashtags and lots, lots more.

Just one of the little pearls of wisdom I came away with was that Facebook, as a platform, hates hashtags and does not respond favourably to posts that include them (even your sarcastic jokes), and your posts probably won’t get much traction #mysteriousFBalgorithms
